A devout Christian, Pastor Shaunna plays a vital role in the Faithwalk Harvest Center ministry, and in the operation of the church.

A native of Arkansas, raised in the northwest surburbs of Illinois, Crystal accepted Christ at the age of nine. Her zeal for music began at the age of six leading "Dr Watts" during devotion at church. She began singing in the adult choir at a very young age and has continued praising and worshipping God ministering through songs.

Cherise Freeman-Artwell serves as the Voices of Young People (VOYP) Ministry Leader, a church school teacher and a young adult mentor at Faithwalk Harvest Center in Carpentersville, Illinois.She was installed as VOYP Ministry Leader on January 1, 2011 by Apostle Dexter K. Ball.

Ms. Simmons has dedicated over 25 years of her career to systems building, program development, and training development/delivery to the early childhood and adolescent health and welfare field. Ms. Simmons served as the National Manager of Cultural Health Programs for the American Heart Association and the Family Support Coordinator of the Midwest Learning Center for Family Support at Family Focus, Inc.

Dr. Eleanor Miller-Stewart

For 25 years Dr. Eleanor Miller-Stewart has served in the pastoral offices of Assistant Pastor, Co-Pastor and currently Senior Pastor of the Sure-Way MB Church, Chicago, IL. In addition to her pastoral gifts, Dr. Miller shares her gift of Christian counseling services to her congregation and community. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Certified Employee Assistance Professional Counselor, and a Certified Senior Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

During the early years of her walk with Christ, DaVetta knew that God called her to the work of the ministry to preach and teach the Word of God.To solidiff God's call upon her life, and as a result of her constant surrender of her will to His, DaVetta experienced many personal pains and sufferings that caused her to die to self. As a Kingdom Builder,Warrior, and Intercessor, DaVetta has learned to persevere and "Take it by force" (Matthew 1I:I2).

Welcome to the 2012 Second Baptist Church Women's Conference

Dear Sisters in Christ,

On behalf of the 2012 Women's Conference Planning Committee, we are extending an invitation to each of you to attend the annual Second Baptist Church Women's Conference. The confernece will be held October 12-14, 2012.

Our conference theme for this year is "Thankful Through it All" and our scripture will be Psalm 100:4 (KJV) "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and bless his name."

The workshops we have planned tie back to our theme and scripture and we are focused on thanksgiving. The conference will kick off on Friday, October 12 and will be for women only. We will continue on Saturday with workshops that are geared towards our theme. The conference will conclude on Sunday as we close out the weekend focused on the theme of being Thankful Through It All.

The registration fees will be $45.00 for Adults and $20.00 for Teens ($10.00 with a voucher from the Youth Ministry)

Our prayer is that each of us in attendance receives a sprirtual blessing during the weekend. We look forward to seeing you there.
